The template is shaper Gary Swanson’s ‘Yater’ circa 1975. The Transformer has excellent glide for good paddling and wave catching ability. The smooth flowing nose to tail rocker and single concave nose allows the board to trim well down the line and have good lift up front for noseriding. The Transformer surfs excellent as a single fin but can also be fitted with side fins and a smaller (7”) rear fin for a more snappy feel. All of the board’s attributes make the Transformer a very versatile, user-friendly surfboard able to handle a wide range of surf conditions and ability levels. All Hammersurf surfboards are made with only the highest quality resin, fiberglass, and foam available.
